Province No. 1 Renaming Committee Members Vandalize Government Vehicle
Police reported that individuals identified as members of the Province No. 1 renaming committee allegedly engaged in the act of vandalizing the vehicle belonging to Yogesh Bhattarai, Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party (NCPA UML) on November 26.
DSP Rajan Limbu of the District Police Office stated that on November 26, vehicle with registration number 2-01001 Ch 40, driven by Mr. Bhattarai was allegedly vandalized during his journey to Panchthar after a party program at the Fungling headquarters.
According to police sources, the vandalism of the vehicle occurred in close proximity to Tokmedanda Bus Park in Fungling Municipality-4. Furthermore, the act of vandalism resulted in significant damage to the front section and windows of the vehicle.
The Province No. 1 Renomination Committee, who are against the renaming of Koshi Province, is urging UML leaders and workers to refrain from organizing public programs within the region.
