Protest and strike against constitution amendment affects the lives of people

The normal lives of people in Kathmandu and various district in western region have been affected due to the protest and strike regarding the registration of constitution amendment in Legislative parliament on November 29.

The transportation in Butwal has been completely disrupted in protest against the registration of constitution amendment along with the changes in provincial delimitation.

Students and civilians in Butwal have been protesting from early in the morning against amending of constitution with division of  province number five.

The agitators said that they will continue their agitation until the proposal of dividing provinces of province number five is not taken back.

There have been news of protests in Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and Kapilbastu too.

According to INSEC Gulmi District Representative Top Lal Aryal, In Gulmi agitators were protesting from early in the morning demanding to take back the proposal of constitution amendment affecting province number five. They started the agitation from November 30 which has affected the normal lives of the people.

INSEC Dang representative J.N Sagar said that people are protesting against the proposal of dividing province number five. In Rupendehi, our district representative Reema BC said that there have been a protest since early morning against the constitution amendment process. The normal lives of the people were severely affected due to the band and chakkajam. The protesters however let ambulence and vehicle carrying milk and vegetables in operation.

Meanwhile, the band was monitored by INSEC western regional coordinator Shiva Khakurel.
