Unknown Assailants Injured Principal by Gunshot in Sindhuli
Prem Bahadur Bamjan, a 40-year-old principal of Bakaiya Hattisude Buddha Secondary School and resident of Botgaun, Bagmati Rural Municipality-1, Makwanpur was injured in a shooting by a group of unidentified individuals on November 10, 2024. The police reported that a group of three unidentified individuals shot Principal Bamjan on November 10 in Dhapse, Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-6. According to SP Govindaraj Kafle of the District Police Office Sindhuli, the bullet was stuck in the right side of the helmet and the cheek of the victim.
He stated that the injured was taken to Model Hospital in Sarlahi for initial treatment and later transferred to Bayodha Hospital in Birgunj for further treatment, where he is currently receiving care.
It is reported that the injured and his 33-year-old brother Dil Bahadur Bamjan were traveling from Rautahat to Makwanpur via Sarlahi on a motorcycle with registration number Pra 2–03–006 Pa 8554. Three unidentified individuals stopped them in Dhapse, fired gunshots, and absconded. The search for the absconding suspects is going on.
