President Stresses on Human Rights Protection
President Bidya Devi Bhandari stressed on implementation on fundamental rights of constitution and Human Rights Protection and Promotion are for the prosperity of the country.
While addressing on the occasion of Human Rights Day she said that implementation of these provision for the prosperity of the nation is the state’s liability.
She added ” It’s a matter of happiness that the constitution has made NHRC as a constitutional body”. Similarly, even the truth and reconciliation commission and CIED have been formed to reinforce Human Rights in the country, she said. She added that this day will encourage all countries over the world to ensure human rights of the people.
