Police intervention in demonstration
The police have intervened the demonstration staged against the local level election by the Netra Bikram Chand led Maoist party in Chitwan on April 20. The clash started when police intervened the program organized by the party against the election at Chaubiskothi in Bharatpur.
Police have charged batons on protestors where some of them were injured.
The demonstrators had hurled stones to the police and burnt tires at Trichok of Bharatpur after the police intervened the program. The local security was tightened after the incident.
Police have controlled 13 demonstrators according to the SP Deepak Thapa of DPO.
