Police denied registering complaint against witchcraft allegation
The victim’s party have organized a press meet on November 11 and made public that police have denied registering complaint against witchcraft allegation.
The victim’s party had lodged complaint at District Police Office on November 2 against witchcraft allegation on 37 years old Julekha Khatun of Sabaila Municipality-12. But, till now police have not registered the complaint according to the victim’s party. They accused police administration of giving unnecessary pressure without investigating the incident in a proper way. The victim was beaten by 40 years old Khaitun Khatun of Sabaila-12, 25 years old Ajima Khatun and 30 years old Jumrat Rain.
The victim sustained several bruises over her body and undergoing treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
Police inspector Abadh Lal Yadav of DPO said that it is not good to lodge complaint of witchcraft allegation over a minor beating incident and further said that he was not informed about the incident.
