Police Complaint Registered Against Accused of Sexual Abuse
The victim filed a complaint against Devjan Sarki, 22, of Sarkegad rural municipality-1, Jair, on 24 March 2023 for sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl.
DSP Bhimalal Bhattarai said that the victim filed a complaint at District Police Office Humla on 24 March, alleging Sarki of sexual abuse at Tumcha of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-1, on 28 October 2022. According to him, the case was registered on 25 March and the case was sent to the District Court Humla on the same day.
DSP Bhattarai said that the District Court issued an arrest warrant on the incident on 26 March. Police said that the accused is still absconding and the incident is being further investigated.
Doctor Kailash Lama said that the medical examination of the victim girl was conducted on 25 March at District Hospital Humla.
