Patients in difficulty due to the lack of disease identifying technology
The patients are compelled to go out of the district for the treatment of Dengue disease because the district hospital of Bardiya does not have technology to identify the disease.
The Dengue patients are increasing in the district and they could not get the treatment. As a result they are bound to go to Kathmandu, Nepalgunj or even in India for the treatment. According to the pesticide control Chief Mohan Sharma of District Health Office, 15 Dengue patients went to Nepalgunj for the treatment.
The problem rose after the Medicine department failed to send pesticide for mosquito control.
Dengue Patients from Baniyabhar, Sanoshre, Taratal, Suryapatuwa, Bansgadhi, Bhurigau are admitted to Bheri zonal hospital and Teaching Hospital.
At least 50 people were affected by the spread of Dengue disease in the district. In district hospital including three primary health center of Rajpur, Magargadi and Sorhawa, there are no facilities of blood culture for the Dengue patients.
The Health Office has requested locals to destroy mosquitos for the eradication of Dengue.
