Patients facing difficulties due to the lack of Health professional
The locals of Simikot village council are facing difficulties after there were no health workers in the Area Health Post since five months.
The health post is operating only by office helper Anga Bahadur Shahi after there was no health incharge since five months. The office helper Shahi only opens the health post in the morning and closes at night according to local Hari Shahi.
Local, Mohan Shahi said that due to the lack of health workers, more than 1200 people are affected from health services. In this health posts there are posts for five health professionals however only one is working.
According to District Public Health Office chief Dr Smriti Mahat, there was one in charge, Janak Dhital, five months ago. After his transfer no one has been appointed yet. She committed to send health workers as soon as possible.
