Patients Deprived of Doctors and Medicines
The patients at Kaphalkot and Ranibas VDC of north-east Surkhet are deprived of medicine and health personnel along with a increase of viral fever.
Local Hari Bahadur Singhof Kaphalkot VDC said that they are deprived of health services because these VDCs are geographically remote parts of the district.
According to him, health in charge senior Assistant Health Worker Tanka Prasad Pangali is not in post since two months.” Viral fever is spread all over the village. The patients of viral fever comes to the health post in a daily basis and are compelled to return without having any treatment” he said.
Pabitra Karki of Ranibas VDC Health Post said that due to the lack of safety zone injection of 500 and 1000mg she is bound to return patients.
Similarly, due to the lack of medicine at Ranibas VDC patients are not able to get any health services according to local Prem Rijal. According to him, in Ranibas VDC there are patients of viral fever.
Focal person Udaya BC of District Public Health Office of Surkhet said that medicines are being sent to those affected VDCs and process to take action against senior health assistant Pangali is being initiated.
