Patients being treated on the floor due to overcapacity
The patients at Jajarkot hospital are being treated on the floor after the number of patients is increasing in the hospital.
They are compelled to be treated on the floor after the 50 bedded hospital could not be upgraded till now according to Dr Mahesh Silwal of the hospital.
Patients are suffering from various ailments such as headache, fever and abdomen ailments. One of the hospital building could not be completed due to the negligence from the builders according to hospital management committee.
At present the hospital is having expert services due to which the number of patients are increasing according to doctors. The hospital building was built more than 40 years ago and it is in dilapidated condition. The data shows that patients from Rukum west, Dolpa and other neighboring districts are coming for treatment in the hospital causing overcapacity of patients according to civil society leader Rajendra Bikram Shah.
