Patient Loses Life Due to Lack of Treatment

A 45-year-old man died in Bateshwor on May 4, 2021, due to the lack of treatment.

He had been suffering from cold and fever for five days and was brought to Janakpur-based Provincial Hospital for treatment at 8 pm on May 3.

The ambulance driver had brought him back to Bateshwor at the request of his family after he was not admitted to some private hospitals in Janakpur as the beds in the isolation of the provincial hospital were not available.

According to ambulance driver Rambabu Mahato, he died due to a lack of oxygen on the verandah in front of a medical hall in Bateshwar.

According to ambulance driver Mahato, the amount of oxygen in the patient’s body was only 45%. He said that he was taken to Janakpur for treatment with oxygen in an ambulance.

Although he was suspected of having COVID-19, a PCR test was not taken.
