One Year Sentence on charge of Polygamy
The District Court of Jumla has ordered to sentence Krishna Prasad Adhikari, 38 of Gajyangkot VDC-4 and Parbati Bhandari, 25 of same VDC-3 for one year each on charge of polygamy.
A single bench of District Court judge Kripasur Karki on August 8 has given verdict regarding the case.
Nirmala Adhikari,35, a first wife of Krishna Bahadur, had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on May 5 against them on charge of polygamy.
The police had registered the complaint at District Court of Jumla on May 30 after completing its investigation.
The accused were released by the police on bail amount of Rs 50,000 each as per court order on June 5.
