One year Imprisonment for Rape of a minor
Ganesh Bishwakarma, 36, resident of Kalika Rural Municipality-3, was sentenced to one-year imprisonment on 3 March 2023 by the bench of Rasuwa District Court’s Judge Ramchandra Paudel on the crime of sexual abuse of an 11-year-old girl on 28 April 2022.
A complaint was lodged against Bishwakarma on 28 April 2022 at the local police office, in Kalikasthan. The health examination of the victim girl was done on the same day at Ghunchok Hospital.
Bishwakarma was arrested on 28 April 2022. The police registered the case in the district court on 3 June 2022 and on the same day, Judge Ramchandra Paudel’s bench remanded the accused to judicial custody.
