One Month imprisonment to the Perpetrator of Sexual Abuse
Dailekh District Court sentenced Bakhat Bahadur Khadka, 43, of Narayan Municipality-8, Tartang, who was found guilty of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl, to one-month imprisonment, a fine of NPR. 5,000 and compensation of NPR. 10,000 to the victim.
As per Tikaram Neupane, Dailekh District Court Information Officer, bench of Judge Balram Lamsal rendered the verdict on December 19 in the case of child sexual abuse.
On the evening of the December 11, 2021, the girl was sexually abused by talking about sexual stimulation on the road near the village. On the basis of the complaint filed by the victim in the District Police Office Dailekh on 12 December 2021, the prosecutor’s office submitted the charges to the District Court on January 3, 2022.
Medical examination of the victim was done on the December 15, 2021 at Dailekh District Hospital
After the detention hearing regarding the charges, the Dailekh District Court released the person involved in the incident on January 3, 2022 with a bond of NPR 100000.
