One Injured by Firing of Police
Ganesh Bahadur Budhathoki, 30, of Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-5 was injured by police firing.
Budhathoki was injured in the retaliatory action of the police after an armed group opened fire on the police patrol team led by Sub Inspector Ramnath Yadav near the Charnath river of Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-4 Portaha on the morning of September 13, 2022.
According to SP Basanta Rajoure of District Police Office Dhanusha, when the police tried to stop the armed group, they opened fire and the police fired two rounds in retaliation.
The bullet had injured Budhathoki’s leg and was taken into custody by the police, after being treated at the Janakpurdham Provincial Hospital. He was kept in the custody of the Dhanusha District Police Office.
SP Rajoure informed that the District Court has extended the deadline for investigation of the incident. According to the police, a loaded gun was also recovered from Budhathoki.
