One Died by the Gunshot of Indian Security Personnel

Govinda Gautam, 25 of Punarbas Municipality-8, Kanchanpur, died after he sustained bullet fired by Indian police near the border at Ananda Bazaar in Kanchanpur district.

The incident took place when Indian Border Security Force (BSF) forcefully started to destroy the construction of the culvert over the river of Punarbas Municipality-8 even though locals requested to not to do so. The locals then tried to retaliate whereby Gautam sustained bullet when Indian police inspector opened shots during the altercation.

Gautam died while undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital, Dhangadi according to Police officials.

According to INSEC Kailali district representative, Rabina Chaudhary the situation got tensed after the incident. The agitated people chanted slogans against the Indian government and has demanded to announce Gautam as Martyr along with compensation to the deceased family.

The relative of the deceased stated that the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) threatens Nepalese stepping to their doors with weapon.
