Objection on Impeachment motion against CJ
The leaders of civil society have said that their attention has been drawn by the political changes in the eve of local level election.
The press released by the by the leaders of civil society stated that the recent political condition has added crisis over the democratic system, judicial supremacy and national independence on the eve of long waited local level election.
The press release states that the impeachment motion registered against the chief justice have drawn a serious attention of civil society. “ Bringing the impeachment proposal is the right of sovereign parliament however the proposal has attacked the judicial discipline, supremacy and basic norms of separation of power in a situation where expedite implementation of constitution is the priority of the country.
A solidarity is shown by chairperson Gopal Lamsal of FNJ, chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel of INSEC, chairperson Ganesh B.K of National Dalit Network including Min Bahadur Shahi of Human Rights Alliance.
