Ninth Village Council Postponed Due to the protest from locals
The Ninth village council of Dandaphaya and Rodikot VDC has been postponed due to the protest from locals for not distributing social security allowance.
The council was postponed as a protest of not distributing allowances by the village Development Committee’s secretary as it was supposed to be distributed in quarterly basis.
There is a provision in Act to form village council till the end of January however in Rodikot and Dandaphaya VDC the council could not be formed.
The locals have warned to expand their protest if the villagers are affected due to a lack of grant .
After this situation, a preparation is being made to operate village council by distributing social security allowance in both VDCs according to Local Development Officer Ram Prasad Dhikari.
