NHRC urges to respect and protect Human Rights
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will be monitoring overall election process with Human Rights point of view on June 28.
The commission said that a team led by human rights officers has been mobilized for election monitoring in 35 district under province number 1,5 and 7.
The commission has released a press statement on June 22 and said that the team will monitor the overall human rights situation during the local level election such as right to assembly and freedom of speech, whether children have been used or not, situation of civil awareness and voters education, possible human rights violation by the political parties during election campaign, right to vote in fearless environment and human rights issue described in ” Local Level election code of conduct, 2017″.
