NHRC Draws Attention on implementing National Human Rights Action Plan

The NHRC regional office of Nepaljung has drawn the attention of governmental offices of Dang for the implementation of National Human Rights Action Plan.

The regional coordinator Murari Khanal of NHRC has drawn the attention of CDO and Police chief to be serious on action plan during the interaction program on Human Rights situation and major human rights issue.

Coordinator Kharel said that there has not been significant improvement on National Human Rights Action Plan despite of completion of three years. He recommended that five years action plan must be implemented to guarantee the human rights of the people.

Coordinator Kharel said that there has been no implementation of action plan even after three years. He recommended to follow the action plan being responsible.

Speaking at the program, member of civil society, rights activists and media personnel said that there has been no significant improvement in human rights situation in the district. They complained government of not being accountable to its people.
