Newborn baby found dead
A newborn baby was found dead in Tinpatan Rural Municipality-10. A deceased body was discovered in Dangeli Community Forest, meticulously wrapped in plastic and shawls on November 26, 2023
DSP Chiranjibi Dahal of the district police office informed that after the locals informed the District Police Office that the newborn baby (child) was found dead in the forest in an abandoned condition, the police are starting necessary investigation about the incident at the scene of the incident.
He reported that following the initial investigation, the child’s body was placed at the Primary Health Center, Lampantar Chakmake. Subsequently, on November 27, the body was handed over to Tinpatan Rural Municipality for safekeeping.
He mentioned that due to the advanced state of decomposition of the baby’s body, the police are conducting the necessary investigations.
DSP Dahal informed INSEC that the baby’s body will be sent to the forensic science laboratory for DNA testing.
