Nomination Registered for National Assembly Election

The nomination has been registered in Dang on May 18, 2021, for the vacant position of members of the National Assembly of Lumbini province.

The position became vacant after Chandra Bahadur Khadka, a member of the National Assembly elected from the CPN-Maoist Centre, joined the CPN-UML and action was taken against him.

Candidates have registered their nominations at the election office set up at the district court in Ghorahi.

According to the Election Office, Chandra Bahadur Khadka and the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist (Centre), the Rashtriya Janamorcha and the Janata Samajwadi Party (Upendra Yadav faction) have registered their candidacies on behalf of the CPN-UML, said Election Chief and District Judge Ritendra Thapa.

In the election of National Assembly members, 83 provincial assembly members and 218 local level chiefs and deputy chiefs will cast their votes.
