Monitoring on incident of corporal punishment to students
The rights activists have monitored the Golden Future Educational Academy at Lahan Municipality-2 on October 27 regarding the incident of corporal punishment to the students on October 26.
The attention of the Rights activists was drawn after the news regarding the corporal punishment along with the photos of student was published in various media.
The representatives from INSEC and IHICON had gathered the information from concerned authority of the school regarding the punishment. The teacher has accepted that the students were given a punishment after they failed to do their homework, according to secretary Ganga Adhikari of Human Rights Protection Centre.
Meanwhile, District Education Office said that the investigation regarding the incident has been initiated on October 27. The office further said that the incident has drawn a serious attention and assured that the accused will be brought under the legal boundary.
District Education Officer Arbinda Lal Karna said that school inspector Bhawani Kattel was given responsibility to probe the incident.
Teacher Nisha Chaudhary of the school has been accused of giving corporal punishment to the students Radhika Kumari Yadav, 7, Nitish Kumar Chaudhary,10, Shasudhan Thakur,10 and nine years old Nikita Kumari Chaudhary of lahan Municipality-10 on October 26.
