Memorandum to CDO Regarding Laxmi’s Murder

Various organizations of the district have presented the memorandum to the Chief District Officer of Kavre regarding the murder of Laxmi Pariyar of Sano Bangthali VDC-7 by tieing her in a pole and feeding human excrete.

The memorandum has demanded for the bias-less investigation of the case so that the administration is not influenced or pressurized  by foreign force.

The memorandum has also stated about the field study conducted by NHRC, National Dalit Commissions and INSEC. There have been various news coming up in social media which needed to be investigated seriously, the memorandum states.

The brother of deceased, Lok Bahadur Pariyar had already lodged an FIR ar DPO of Dhilikhel on December 11. The victim’s husband Milan Pariyar and his friend Hira Lama including other four people are in police custody.

In 2016, six women have been murdered in Kavre. A 28 years old Samjhana Thapa of Panauti municipality-13 was murdered by her husband by attacking her with an axe and sickle. Similarly, Sukarani Tamang,50 of Majhifeda VDC-8 was killed by attacking her with an axe. In Majhifeda VDC-1 a dead body of Mina Kumari was found with several bruises over her body.

The memorandum demanded for the proper investigation of the case as it looks very suspicious.
