Medicine Shortage in Store of District Public Health Office

There is a shortage of medicine in the store of District Public Health office. Kameshwor Royeta Yadav, chief of storage department of District Public Health Office said that there has been a shortage of medicine in 104 sub-health posts, four primary health centre and two hospitals in Siraha since the beginning of Madhes agitation.

He said that the office is not able to provide medicine to sub-health posts as per their demand.

Yadav said that the district has right to buy 20 percent medicine and the department has initiated to buy medicine as there has been funding in this financial year.

Due to the lack of essential medicine, health personnel are compelled to hear complaints from patients.
