Medicine Crunch hits health posts in Nuwakot
The health service in Thansing Health Post at Kakani Rural Municipality-8, Nuwakot has been affected after the shortage in medicine.
The medicine crunch is due to the delay in sending medicine by District Public Health Office and Rural Municipality Office according to health post in charge Suresh Gaire. According to him the health post is in shortage of 11 types of essential medicine.
Gaire said that there are shortages of medicine and some of them are expired. The issue has been informed to the concerned body said Gaire.
The health post of Thansing is being operated from one rented room. It does not have its own building. The building is in construction process since three years and it is not completed yet. Ward chairperson Seshman Lama said that the initiation will be made to expedite construction process through Rural Municipality.
