Maoist Cadre arrested on Charge of attacking CPN UML cadre
Police have arrested Maoist cadre Shakti Raj Rai on June 2 on charge of attacking CPN UML cadre Santosh Rai of Jante Dhunga Village council-2 with sharp weapons while he was in election dissemination on June 1.
According to the victim, the accused had attacked him with a sharp weapon in a normal dispute between them.
The victim sustained a deep cut in his leg and was taken to Area Health Office after a primary treatment at health post of Bopung according to UML District chairperson Babi Chamling.
The CPN UML Jantedhunga village committee had released a press statement after the incident and condemned the attack.
The accused was arrested based on the complaint lodged by the vistim’s party according to the police.
