Man Commits Suicide after Gravely Injuring His Wife
Shantkumar Rai, 57, committed suicide after attacking his wife, Bimrani Rai, Falelung Rural Municipality-6, with a knife.
Hari Khatiwada, DSP of the district police office, said Shantakumar hanged himself on April 25, 2023, after injuring his wife. Khatiwada said that Shantakumar may have attacked his wife over a domestic dispute.
Injured Bimarani is admitted at V&C Hospital for treatment in Virtamod, Jhapa. Shantakumar’s body is in the mortuary of the District Hospital for post-mortem.
