Man Arrested on charge of expelling wife
Police have arrested 25 years old husband Prajapati Pokhrel on September 15 on charge of beating and expelling his 20 years old wife Ranjana Acharya of Mahaboi Rural Municipality-5 for not giving birth to a baby boy.
The victim had lodged complaint against the accused at police post of Patmaghat on September 14 on charge of expulsion from the house followed by beating. After the complaint, the accused was arrested by the police according to DSP Binod Sharma of DPO Kalikot.
The victim sustained chest injuries in a beating and receiving treatment at District hospital of Kalikot. Police said that the accused has been brought to the DPO for interrogation and investigation.
