Man Arrested for Allegedly Repeatedly Raping a Woman in Kalinchok Rural Municipality
On June 25, 2023, a complaint was registered at the district police office against a 23-year-old man, identified as Biswas, residing in Kalinchok Rural Municipality-1, for the alleged rape of a 33-year-old woman. The victim has accused the accused of repeatedly raping her over a period spanning from December 26, 2033, to June 12, 2023.
According to Inspector Rajesh Sigdel of the District Police Office, the victim lodged a complaint stating that she had been subjected to multiple instances of rape by the accused. The final assault took place on June 12, 2023.
The victim underwent a medical examination on June 23 at Pashupati Memorial Hospital in Charikot.
In a significant development, the police arrested the accused from his residence on June 23, following the preliminary investigation.
