Locals Asking For Relief; Rural Municipality Locked
Even after completing 48 days of nationwide lockdown, the locals of Samsi Rural Municipality have not received any relief. Due to this, they have locked the Rural Municipality Office.
This is the second time that the locals have done so because the Rural Municipality has not distributed relief to the daily-waged labours, poor and needy people. Before this, they had done it on 5 May 2020.
On 6 May, the Chairperson of the Rural Municipality Siekh Farukh had assured of distributing relief after five days.
The locals are sleeping in the premises of the rural municipality. Children are holding placards in their hands with messages denoting their hunger.
According to a local, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, there are more than 1000 households that need relief.
