Local Level Election- 2079: Complaints Filed Against 27 Candidates

A complaint has been filed against 27 candidates of the Local Level Election 2079 at the election office.
According to Rolpa District Representative Tilak Gharti Magar, a complaint has been lodged against Janak Khadka, who has been nominated by the Nepali Congress for the post of chairperson in Lungri rural municipality of the district. It has been mentioned in the complaint that Sunil Smriti rural municipality and Lungri rural municipality are yet to pay the dues through Janaki Construction Service. A complaint has been lodged against Kom Bahadur Budha, who has been nominated by the Nepali Congress for the post of vice-chairperson from the joint alliance of CPN-UML, Nepali Congress and Independent candidate affiliated to Biplav. It has been mentioned in the complaint that the Uchcha Himal Construction Service run by Kom Bahadur Budha has been blacklisted as per Article 13 of the Local Election Act 2063. Similarly, in Sunchahari rural municipality 4 and 6, a complaint has been lodged against two women registered as candidates for the post of Dalit women member from the alliance of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Independent candidancy. A complaint has been lodged against Khiman Singh Rokka, who had registered his candidature for the post of ward member on behalf of CPN-UML in Sunchahari rural municipality-7, alleging that they have not paid rent for four months. Similarly, a complaint has been lodged against Purna Budha Magar, a candidate for the post of member from CPN-UML in Sunchahari rural municipality-5, for tax evasion and financial misappropriation of the organization without renewing it for years.
Likewise, in Madi rural municipality, a complaint has been lodged against CPN-UML candidate Bijay Gharti for embezzling money from a cooperative. CPN-UML has lodged a complaint against Bal Prasad BK, a candidate for the post of ward chairperson of Madi rural municipality-4 for not completing imprisonment period. A complaint has been lodged against Mohan Singh Oli, who has registered his candidature for the post of chairperson from Ward No. 1, for not paying the amount of the cooperative. A complaint has been lodged with the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority against Rooplal Gharti, who has been nominated as a ward member by the CPN-UML. A complaint has been lodged against Pramali Budha, who has been nominated as a female member by the CPN-Maoist in Madi-4, saying that she is working as a health worker. A complaint has been lodged against the candidate who has registered his candidature for the post of member in Sunil Smriti rural municipality-7 on the charge of being unresponsive while working through the Consumer Committee.
According to Gulmi District Representative Toplal Aryal, complaints have been lodged against the candidates who have registered for various posts at five local levels of the district. Complaints have been lodged against Manju Dalarmi, a UML candidate for the post of vice-chairperson, Harikala Thapa, a woman member from Janamorcha and Indramaya Gurung, a woman Congress member in Kaligand. Suresh Pariyar, who has been nominated for the post of chairperson by Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party in Chandrakot rural municipality, Ranmaya Pun, UML vice-presidential candidate in Malika rural municipality, Man Kumari Kami, Dalit woman member of Congress, Gyan Kumar Budhamagar, ward chairman of CPN-Maoist centre, Prem Bahadur Khadka, UML ward chairman candidate and Purna Bahadur Karki. A complaint has been lodged against Bir Bahadur Karki, women member Deepa Mahatra, member Surya Bahadur Budhamagar, woman member Laxmi Khatri and independent candidate Tika Bahadur Chhetri, said District Election Office Officer Maya Kunwar. Similarly, a complaint has been lodged against Pushpa Panthee, a female member of Congress in Resunga Municipality.
