Lack of Space in Prison to Accommodate Viral Affected Prisoner
In Bardiya prison, healthy detainees and prisoners are having a chance of geting viral infection due to the lack of separate treatment room for viral affected inmates. More than 40 prisoners and detainees are infected from viral fever.
The numbers of viral infected patients in the prison are increasing since its outbreak on July 13. Jailer Rohit Shrestha said that health personnel have been summoned from District health Office of Guleriya for their treatment. He further said that there are no separate room to keep those viral affected prisoners.
There are 257 prisoners and detainees in Bardiya prison however it has capacity to accommodate only 125. The prison administration said that the lack of space is main problem of prison.
