Journo threatened on charge of writing news
The Rural Municipality Chair Raj Kumar Yadav and ward chair Ashok Yadav of Sonama Rural Municipality have threatened 32 years old Dhanbir Mahato of Radio Rupantaran, news representative Dharmendra Kumar Yadav of Mahottari Post. Com and 25 years old Shailendra Mahato of Tudepti.com on charge of writing news not in favor of them.
News related to connection of ward chairman and ward member beating 16 years old Shanker Shah and 17 years old Sudhir Shah by tying their hand on May 5 on charge assisting local Raju Shah to elope with Sudha Yadav of Sonama Rural Municipality was published in a newspaper.
The Rural municipality using its letter pad have threatened the journos for writing news. The press released by Rural Municipality spokes person Ashok Kumar Yadav have challenged provincial and even federal government to save those journos.
The injured are receiving treatment at Gaushala Primary Treatment centerand Sudhir is referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Madhesi Journalist Association and AKHIL (revolutionary) have released press statement and condemned the incident of threatening and said that serious attention has been drawn by the incident.
