Journalists arrested while collecting news
Police have arrested Mohan Bastola, executive editor of Pahilo News. Com, from Maitighar area and sub-editor Lok Raj Jaisi of Khabar Dabali from airport area on November 2. They were on the way to collect news regarding the visit of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.
Journo Bastola was released later after Ganesh Basnet, chairperson of Press Chautari Nepal initiated for his release. DSP Manohar Bhatta of Metropolirtan police circle Singha Darbar said that the journalist was arrested mistakenly by the field patrolling police. However Jaisi has not been released yet.
Jaisi was arrested from the airport area while he was collecting news regarding the visit of Indian prez Pranab Mukharji. The revolutionary Journalist Federation said that he was arrested by the police with misbehavior.
