Journalist Beaten By A Group Of Strangers
Tekraj Thapa, 23, of Surkhet-based Province FM and Sarvajanik.com was beaten by a group of unidentified persons on October 1.
Thapa told INSEC representative that he was pelted with stones and punched by seven youths near Radio Nepal in Birendranagar Municipality-2 while he was returning back home.
According to Thapa, he was treated at Deuti Nursing Home in Birendranagar as he sustained injuries to his head, back and other parts of his body.
The victim has lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Surkhet on October 2 seeking an investigation.
According to DSP Ram Prasad Ghartimagar of the District Police Office, Surkhet, the search is on for the group involved in the incident.
