Journalist Attacked By Unidentified Group
Journalist Kailash Joshi of Radio Rastriya has been attacked by an unidentified group on the night of May 17.
He was attacked while returning from the polling station of Bhimdatta Municipality and reaching the bicycle store in Aithpur, a group of unidentified youths came out of the Moonshine Hotel in the district headquarters and started attacking him.
Journalist Joshi was injured in the attack and is being treated at Mahakali Hospital.
According to Inspector Prakash Bhandari of the Ward Police Office, Rajesh Chand, 25, of Bhimdatta Municipality-6 has been arrested after the victim Joshi lodged a complaint at the Ward Police Office on May 17.
Journalist Joshi, who was injured in the beating, is also a general member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Kanchanpur.
