Introductory Project and Human Rights Group Formation at Surya Vinayak
Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) Province 3 office Hetauda, has formed Human Rights group at Surya Vinayak Municipality Bhaktapur. On 25 December Wednesday INSEC organized ‘Introductory Project and Human Rights Group Formation Meet’ to aware the local communities and make the responsible parties answerable.
The Mayor of Surya Vinayak Municipality, Basudev Thapa said that the municipality is ready to support and fulfill every right of the citizens that the Constitution has bestowed. Surya Vinayak Municipality will walk hand-in-hand with INSEC to insure the Human Rights of the people living in that municipality.
The municipality is ready to support INSEC in their monitoring of Education, Health, Food and Shelter said Thapa. He added- “We will prohibit the NGOs who hang banners on the wall and digest funds. We will cooperate to the fullest with organizations like INSEC.”
In the program, the Project Coordinator and INSEC Province 3’s Chief Krishna Gautam said INSEC will act as a bridge between the local level and the rights of Education, Health, Food and Shelter bestowed by the Constitution.
The program was attended by Surya Vinayak Municipality ward-2’s Chairperson Kamal Nath Acharya, representatives of Education, Women, Health, Agriculture and Animal Department. They informed about the ongoing works in the municipality.
Human Rights Group formed under the coordination of Neupane:
Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) Province 3 office Hetauda, has formed Human Rights group at Surya Vinayak Municipality Bhaktapur under the coordination of Krishna Prasad Neupane with 20 members.
Representatives of all 10 wards of the municipality participated in the program. Anita Basnet was selected as the co-coordinator, Nandu Nagarkoti was selected as Secretary and Anjana Bishunke was selected as assistant secretary.
Along with them the selected members were- Dhana Bahadur Thapa, Bimala Parajuli, Sanu Kaji Maharjan, Reeta Gnawali, Smriti Pariyar, Indira Upadhyay, Rama Devi Rajthala, Bibek Koirala, Pawitra Basnet, Anjana Nepali, Usha Khadka, Aasha Tamag, Parvati Nagarkoti, Karishma Deuja and the organizations has selected Anita Pandey.
