Interaction on Human Rights and Election Held in Dadeldhura

An interaction program is held in Dadledhura on June 3 under the Citizen’s Campaign for Clean Election (CCCE) on Human Rights and Election.

While speaking at the program CCCE co-chairperson and INSEC chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel said that the local level election can be the means to re-join the relationship that was broken between the political parties and people. He added that the election has equally added the responsibility along with rights.

The campaign’s co-chairman and chairman of HURON Indra Prasad Aryal stressed that election observers must do their duties without any biasness and strictly follow the code of conduct for observers.

In the program, the political parties committed to follow the election code of conduct strictly to make the election disciplined, clean and fair.

The female participants of the program complained of voter’s education not being that effective.

The participants said that the local election has given rights to the women however it is a big challenge to establish it. They further said that this election will play an important role to ensure the human rights of the country.
