INSEC Publishes Monthly Analysis Report of Asar 2078

Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has published a monthly analysis report for Asar, 2078 (June 15 to July 15, 2021).

In the monthly analysis report, INSEC has documented the incidents of human rights violations and abuses through the district representatives of 77 districts of Nepal.

According to the report, 162 people (108 female and 54 male) have been the victims of human rights violations and abuses. In addition to this, the report also mentioned the vandalization of the Pakhribas municipality of Dhankuta and the arson of an excavator in Doti.

‘According to the news published in the portal, 40 people have been violated by the state and 122 have been abused by others. This month, Bagmati Province has the highest number of victims. There were 46 victims documented in Bagmati Province, 44 in Province 2, 21 in Lumbini Province, 20 in Province 1, 15 in Gandaki Province, 12 in Karnali Province and four in Sudurpaschim Province.’- Mentioned in the report.

This month 22 individuals were killed out of which six were killed by their husbands, four were killed by their family members, three were killed after rape and one was killed after an attempt to rape. Within this period, 15 were injured out of which 12 were injured in a clash. Thirty were arrested out of which three were women. Also, five individuals were beaten, one was threatened and one was tortured.

According to the news published this month, 53 girls were victims of child rights violations and 32 women were victims of women’s rights violations.
