INSEC Provides Assistance to the Victim of Rape
Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has provided financial assistance of NRs. 10,000 for the treatment of a four-year-old victim of rape.
INSEC has supported the victim with the recommendation of the District Police Office after the victim had health problems due to the incident.
The victim was raped on June 7, 2021, by Govinda BK, 27and Krishna Khatri, 21, of Ghorahi Submetropolitan-13. The complaint was filed at the District Police Office on June 10, 2021.
The accused duo was arrested on June 10. The health checkup and treatment of the victim was conducted at Ekdwar Crisis Management Centre, informed the mother of the victim.
The assistance was handed over by INSEC District Representative Jayanarayan Pun. The victim’s mother said that it would be easier to go to the judicial process with the help of INSEC.
