INSEC Provided Financial Assistance to Violence Victim
The help desk of Informal Sector Service Center INSEC provided financial assistance to 37-year-old Rekha Kumari Das of Karjanha Municipality-6, a victim of Polygamy on 22 April.
Raju Paswan, the Coordinator of INSEC Madhesh Province handed over Rs 10,000 to the victim through a cheque.
The victim expressed that she filed a complaint at the District Police Office Dhanusha on 8 April after she came to know that her 38-year-old husband Madan Das got married to 40-year-old Shobhadevi Yadav of the same place on 25 March. In addition, Inspector Chandrakala Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Dhanusha informed that the police arrested the accused on the same day.
The victim has a nine-year-old daughter. This assistance was provided to support her weak financial condition and to cover expenses for the legal process and household needs. The Women, Children, and Senior Citizen Service Center also recommended INSEC to help the victim as per Raju Paswan.
