INSEC Monitors the Human Rights Situation of Kalikot
A team from Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has conducted field monitoring Human Rights situation of Kalikot District.
Manager Madan Paudel from documentation department of central office, INSEC Karnali provincial coordinator Narayan Subedi, Surkhet District representative Durga Thapa and Kalikot district representative Kali Bahadur Malla conducted a monitoring of overall human rights situation of the district on November 16.
The team had met with CDO, police chief, Army chief and media personnel and gathered information regarding the women violence, cast based discrimination, education, health and food rights. The team had also monitored the district prison of Kalikot.
During the meeting CDO Chandra Bahadur Karki and DSP Binod Sharma said that the incidents of women violence and sexual abuses are in rising trend making the human rights situation of the district critical
