Shashe Pariyar, 40, a person with disabilities from Bheri Municipality-6, Bheri, was rescued by the initiative of INSEC.  Due to his poor financial condition and lack of proper treatment, Shashe Pariyar, relying on a crutch, reached the headquarters and collapsed on a public road. Following this, a representative of INSEC informed Madhav Bishwakarma, the Information Officer of the District Police Office, about the incident. On August 5, Madhav Bishwakarma arranged for him to be taken to the district hospital for treatment in an ambulance provided by Bheri Municipality.

Shashe pariyar expressed that, after his father-in-law refused to let his wife, Durga Pariyar, and their daughter stay with him and beat him in May, his sister, Chandrakala Pariyar, took him to Nepalgunj for treatment. However, he had to return because he couldn’t afford the full medical treatment.  His mother passed away a few months ago. His visually impaired father and 12-year-old son now live at his sister’s house. Pariyar said he has to rely on crutches and beg for food. He expressed that his wife was his only support, and he became helpless after his in-laws separated him from his family. He said they lived happily for 14 years and had two children. Pariyar claims he became disabled due to the beatings from his in-laws. Shashe Pariyar was rescued in an ambulance by Bheri Municipality and is currently being treated at Jajarkot Hospital.

DSP Purushottam Prasad Pandey of the District Police Office said that after the victim is treated, they will discuss the case with both parties involved. He added that the reason for the in-laws’ actions will be investigated once the victim has received medical care. DSP Pandey assured those responsible will be punished according to the victim’s complaint. Pariyar, who was seriously injured, is being treated with police supervision.
