INSEC Initiated Educational Support to Underprivileged Student
18-year-old Gita Shrestha of Class 12 at Bidhyajyoti Secondary School was supported with stationary and study materials on the coordination of ‘Bidhyajyoti Sahanshil Child Rights Group’ and ‘Panchapuri Human Rights Group’ at Panchapuri Rural Municipality-5 initiated by INSEC On February 24.
Gita Shrestha, an orphan who has a 15-year-old brother, received support for her education. Materials worth Rs 2,990 including copy, pen, school dress, etc were provided in order to help her continue the studies.
The materials were handed over in the presence of Tulsi Khanal, the child helpline facilitator of Awaj Foundation, officers of the Child Rights Group,and officers of the Human Rights Defender Group. Facilitator Khanal said that this support will play an important role in the development of her studies. The Panchapuri Human Rights Group requested the assistance from INSEC Karnali Provincial Office on January 3.
