Increase in Number of Patients at Bheri Hospital Due to Weather Change

Due to the change in weather, there has been an increase in the number of patients at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. The weather change has led to a rise in cases of dengue, as well as viral fever, typhoid, diarrhea, vomiting, and unconsciousness. According to Dr. Pratima Khadka, a pediatric specialist at Bheri Hospital, a 9-year-old girl from Narinapur Rural Municipality-1, Mahatiniya, was found to have Japanese encephalitis, and a 72-year-old Rishilal Barma from Khajura Rural Municipality-4 was diagnosed with dengue. The girl was treated in the ICU for a week and her health condition is now reported to be stable. With the change in weather, there has been an increase in the number of patients with colds, coughs, fever, diarrhea, unconsciousness, and respiratory issues at Bheri Hospital, according to Dr. Khadka, a pediatric specialist at the hospital.

Dr. Khadka explained that the recent hot, dry winds and excessive heat have led to a rise in cases of viral fever, colds, coughs, diarrhea, vomiting, unconsciousness, and respiratory problems in both urban and rural areas. According to Dr. Khadka, the number of patients has been increasing at the hospital for the past two weeks, causing issues for those seeking treatment at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. So far, 113 patients with diarrhea have received treatment, and the flow of patients continues.
