Imprisonment for Sexual Misconduct
On August 4, Judge Rishiram Niraula of the District Court delivered a verdict of 43 days imprisonment to Man Bahadur Ghalan, 39 years old, from Ranishera, Rural Municipality-1, Makwanpur Gadhi, for the crime of sexually abusing a four-year-old girl.
Registrar Leelakant Poudel of the court has informed about the decision, which includes a compensation of 10,000 rupees for the victim.
On April 13, 2023, the victim party lodged a complaint against Ghalan at the district police office for the sexual abuse of the girl that occurred on the April 12, 2023.
The health examination of the victim was conducted at Hetuada Hospital on the April 13, 2023 and the accused was arrested on the same day.
On May 4, 2023, the police arrested the suspect and lodged a case of child sexual abuse at the District Court.
