HIV patients at Risk after not getting essential medicine

The lives of HIV patients of the district are at risk after they did not get essential medicine, Antiretro Viral (ARV), due to their poor financial state.

The patients are facing difficulties after not getting medicine according to Sadhuram Pandit, chairperson of HIV patient support federation. He added that they need to go to Pokhara to get the ARV which cost them high.

There are 187 HIV patients in Lamjung District. In past, various NGOs had distributed the medicine however the program has been stopped now which has created problem to the patients.

Chief District Office Mohan Bahadur GC said that he will initiate to make an arrangement for the distribution of medicine soon.
