Health Workers Misbehaved After Patient’s Death
On May 27, 2021, a team of Dr Chandra Prakash Sahu, 26, Asmin Gurung, 24, Sadikshya Gaire, 19, Rita Adhikari, 25, and Bhawana Shrestha, 24; delegated for the treatment of COVID patients were misbehaved by Bharat Raut, 50, Yogaraj Raut, 28, and Man Bahadur Raut, 48 of Dang Tulsipur Municipality-11.
According to Dr Prakash Thapa, Medical Superintendent of Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, the accused entered the ICU ward and misbehaved with the health workers after their relative died due to COVID-19.
According to Dr Thapa, the health workers escaped the scene to save their lives and were injured. They are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital. The victim has lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on May 28, 2021.
Inspector at the District Police Office, Ishwar Giri, said that the accused were arrested from the hospital premises on May 27 after the police received verbal information about the incident.
